kloset2kloset Schooling The 4 K's
In less than 90 days I went from anti-homeschool to pulling my kids out of public school and embarking on a Charlotte Mason journey to school my kids. Come along with me and see how it goes.

Adam & Eve
Today we learned about Adam & Eve and how God took a rib from Adam to create Eve. The kids made their own Adam & Eve to see how difficult it is to make a human figure. How awesome our God is that He made us! We are using The Mystery of History as our History book.

First week of school
Well we have started our first week. It's been great. The kids have been happy, I've loved it, and I am feeling more confident that we really can teach our children.

My homeschool journey
So I'm going to try and blog again. I have recently decided to homeschool my kids. Now that I've made the decision I am COUNTING down the days till school gets out. I feel like I have a lot to make up to my kids and a lot to undo as well. Don't get me wrong, there have been some great moments in public school, but I can't wait to re-connect with my kids and see them learn in my home.
I owe a huge apology to all those I looked down upon, questioned their reasoning's for homeschooling their kids. I was wrong, you were right.
I just finished reading a wonderful book called For The Children's Sake. I highly recommend every parent, teacher, and anyone in the education field read this book. It has changed my life. And it's NOT a homeschool book.
Well I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I think I will. I know it will be a challenge, I mean I'm deciding to do this with an 8 year old going into 3rd grade, a 5 year old going into 1st grade, a 4 year old going into pre-school and currently a 7 month old. Plus I run my own eBay business out of my home. Should be fun!

Sleeping with Books
Every Night we let the girls read before they go to sleep and every night I go in and take the books off Kayleigh and turn the light off. Last night was not the norm, many times she'll have her hand on a book, or she'll be propped up in the bed with the book on her chest, how she fell asleep with it on top of her I don't know! But that's Kayleigh!
