So this is what happens when you let your 3 year old dress herself! It's hard to see, but not only is she wearing Black boots in the Spring but they're on the wrong feet too! Poor Aunt Mandy had to go out in public with her like this. Kayleigh we love you!
In less than 90 days I went from anti-homeschool to pulling my kids out of public school and embarking on a Charlotte Mason journey to school my kids. Come along with me and see how it goes.

Sleeping with Books
Every Night we let the girls read before they go to sleep and every night I go in and take the books off Kayleigh and turn the light off. Last night was not the norm, many times she'll have her hand on a book, or she'll be propped up in the bed with the book on her chest, how she fell asleep with it on top of her I don't know! But that's Kayleigh!

Laundry Basket Fun & Iforgive you Mommy
The kids were having fun playing in the laundry basket together this morning.
Kayleigh's moment today came with her throwing a tantrum after I made her the waffle she wanted for breakfast. After seeing her cousin get cereal she announced that she didn't want her waffle any more she wanted cereal. I said no not until after she finished her waffle. She went crying and upset to her bedroom and slammed the door. Little did I know that Daddy had instructed her that if she did that again she would get a spanking. (seems to be a new faze that her sister was in not that long ago.) I just let her cool off in her room and a little while later she came walking out of her room up to me and said, " Mommy I forgive you." I said no Kayleigh what your supposed to say is "Mommy I'm sorry, then I tell you I forgive you." So she said she was sorry. We've been teaching the girls that when they say sorry or someone apologizes to them they don't have to say, "That's OK" cause its not OK whatever happened, but they need to say "I forgive you."
Cute word of the week: Snandwich instead of "Sandwich"

Big sister
So cute you two, Mommy sure loves you!
Silly faces
While taking a bath tonight I was video taping Kayleigh and Kayman drinking up the water and spitting it at each other. Oh what fun it will be when they are older to show them that tape with that soapy water and them sticking their faces in it, snot and all and spitting at one another, then laughing hysterically!

Mommy do you still love me
So today before we left for Church Kayleigh came up to me and asked, "Mommy do you like me?" "Of course I do!" I said. I'm not sure where she came up with that, but then during our devotion & prayer meeting before Sunday School she was acting up while Pastor Dustin was speaking. I took her into a room and was scolding her. She says, "Mommy do you love me?" What's up with that! So I told her that yes I love her, but she has to listen to Mommy when she tells you to be quiet.
This is a picture of Kayleigh today. We are having an issue with what I believe is craddle cap. Kayleigh will be 4 in August and she still has so little hair. I think it might be due to build up on her scalp. So I am trying olive oil, a suggestion of her Abuela and we shall see if that does the trick. Hopefully she will eventually need a hair cut, instead of watching her brother and sister's hair grow so much longer than hers!

mealtime woes
Seriously how do you get your kids to eat! Why is dinner such a battle. Right now we are going on 45 minutes at the dinner table. And of course Kayleigh who has always liked carrots, etc. now has decided she doesn't like them because her oldest sister doesn't. UGH!!!
Dogs are a distractions, cousins, etc.
Now Kayleigh is crying at the table asking why "Aly & Dana are not a part of the family" these are our dogs.
Oh and now she is putting her green beans in her chocolate milk! After giving her the evil eye, her quick response is "sorry" with a twinkle in her eye.
Their food has to be cold by now, I think it's time for bed!
Good night everyone and we shall see what tomorrow brings me.
